I come up with all kinds of great ideas. The problem is that I often take an idea and plan it to death. I work on all the details. I polish that idea until it's perfect. I plan for every possible problem and obstacle. In the process I add on to my neat little idea. It gets bigger and fancier, and more fantastic. Pretty soon I have the best idea you have ever heard of. The only problem is that you never will hear of it, because it will never get past the idea stage and make it into the real world.
Almost always the best way to get an idea to reality is to just get started. I learned that from a very special person.
